Windows Vista and AOL Instant Messenger crisis! please help!

Hey guys, I just got a new laptop, and unfortunately, I couldn't get XP on it, so now, I have vista. It's really stupid, but anyway, I need help with installing aim on it and using it. I installed aim 6 on it and on XP, it was fine. BUt now, whenever people tries talking to me, it won't read to me. Jaws wont say anything. Its like its blank. I cant even talk to them. I tried installing 6.0, 6.1, and 6.5. The same thing happened again and again and I need AIM, lol. If any of you knows anything, please help. And I have Jaws 10, could that be the reason? please help, ASAP! Thanks. <3

jaws 10 works really well with aim and vista, i'm running it here with no issues

Did you try ditching vista, and putting seven on it?

I'm having trouble with registering with aim. Can anyone help with this, please? I've filled in all the fields and done the capture, but it still says the screen name field is incomplete or missing, when I know I've filled it in.
